History

Founded in 1919 as Crown Mattress in Oldham, Lancashire by Mr. John and Mr. Leslie Seccombe, the company was renamed Slumberland between 1930–1939.

Slumberland received royal warrants from King George VI in 1940, Queen Elizabeth II in 1955, and the Queen Mother in 1965.

From 1980–1989, Slumberland gained popularity in Asia as a leading manufacturer and marketer of premium bedding products for households and hotels.
